This Page is dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives in the service of Back Pack Health Worker Team. We offer our gratitude to these brave and committed individuals and send our prayers to their loved ones. On a daily basis, BPHWTs traverse areas of active conflict and territories where the landscape is littered with land mines. Traveling from village to village, BPHWT members must trek, climb, negotiate river waters and determine if there is a safe means to evade a conflict situation and reach the villages that await their skilled care. These health workers consistently put the welfare of their communities above their own personal safety. As a result of their selfless service, countless villagers have enjoyed improved health and enhanced understanding. May the memories of all who gave their lives, named and unnamed, live on in our hearts and be a blessing to every BPHWT member and to all those we serve everyday.
